I have been accepted into 7 juried shows and won 2nd place in the Wayside Inn
Christmas Card contest.  I studied for many years with the late Edith Newcomb who
encouraged her students to try anything and everything.  My latest classes have been
with Cynthia Durost of Acton, MA.  and Cecilia Sharma of the Danforth Museum in
Framingham.   Currently in my work I am striving to be more spontaneous, as I am used
to working tight.   I am  a member of the Concord Art Association.   My watercolors are
currently being sold at Longfellow's Wayside Inn and Choices in Sudbury, MA.  It's
wonderful to have a job I love.  In my studio, with the snow falling softly outside, with
one stroke of my brush, I can be floating in turquoise water or running through a field of
flowers.  It's as great as that!

I was born into an artistic family.  My Mom made a living
doing fashion illustration and my brother and sister are
very talented. I started painting with acrylics when my
children were small, but spent most of my time while
they were growing up trying to find a better way to
express my creativity. Sixteen years ago I discovered
watercolor and knew it was the best way to express
myself.  I love  laying down washes and seeing the
vibrancy of the colors interpreted in my paintings.  I
paint almost every day, so please visit to see my
newest work.
